It was 37 Celsius yesterday in Bangkok. What’s even hotter than the weather was the on-stie discussion for an upcoming installation of tertiary water treatment project. Typical wastewater treatment usually includes primary and secondary treatments which can get the wastewater clean enough to discharge into the environment directly. Tertiary treatment, however, is served as the third and a more advanced treatment to make the effluent water cleaner and safer for water reuse purpose in water-intensive applications such as irrigation, HVAC, toilet etc. This is a step that goes above the compliance requirement. It is a step that proves actions being taken to conserve water. Could it be a signal that calls for more actions to better use water resources? We sincerely hope so.
