Three-day long Testing in Searching for New process of Sweetener alternatives

As global inflation sweeps almost everybody, every industry, sugar price has risen almost 2.5 times in the past 3 years from 0.1$ in 2020 to 0.249 $ in 2023 per pound. Even though manufacturers of sweeteners have never stopped searching for lower cost alternative material than sugarcanes, they probably feel the sense of urgency now more than ever. As a partner, Innosep started this journey around 2 years back.  Among various testing Innosep has done with his clients, this one completed yesterday on May 24, 2023 has signaled a one-step forward. The client has been testing a new process using raw products instead of processed starch-based mixture in sweetener manufacturing process. In Innosep’s lab where it’s fully equipped with heating, temperature control & monitoring, flow measuring & filtration capabilities, in 3 days, the client has completed processes from wet milling, liquefaction, fermentation to clarification & de-coloration. The clear permeated liquid shows in the picture below really is the payoff of the sweats of 3 straight days.
